Overview
Dynavox Group’s communication aids change the lives of people with disabilities by enabling greater independence. They also bring substantial relief to family members, communities, healthcare systems and society as a whole. Those using our technology gain valuable rights by having a voice.
Dynavox Group drives the growth of the assistive communication market, primarily through Tobii Dynavox, our world-leading brand in assistive communication solutions. As we scale our business, we are committed to doing so responsibly, ensuring long-term social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
We integrate our products, services, and expertise available across the organization with a strong focus on sustainable innovation. In this work, we prioritize the development of accessible, durable, and energy-efficient assistive technologies, reducing our environmental footprint while maximizing impact.
At Dynavox Group, our approach to sustainability is guided by four strategic pillars that reflect our values and drive our long-term ESG impact:
Guided by these priorities, we are committed to embedding sustainability considerations into every aspect of our operations, striving to become a truly sustainable company.
We contribute directly to several of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, which form the core of our sustainability strategy. Our communication aids have so far helped hundreds of thousands of people, enabling them to gain literacy, use a digital voice, and access computers with just their eyes. Our main areas where we have the most positive impact are represented by UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4 and 10.
We empower those who use our solutions to make their voice heard and be more independent, impacting their well-being and the lives of those around them.
We help students with disabilities learn literacy skills via inclusive communication solutions designed for both the special education classroom and home schooling.
We enable more people with disabilities to work and study, contributing to the economy and reducing healthcare costs while improving the work environment of our own employees and those working across our supply chain.
We create conditions for inclusion in society by enabling those with disabilities to communicate and use the same technology as everyone else.
We make products that consume as little energy as possible while allowing for repair and replacement of components to extend their life cycle.
We commit to reducing our environmental impact and strive to reduce CO2 emissions from office energy consumption, product transport and business travel.
Meet some of the people who inspire our work. They communicate in new ways when facing the challenges that come with being unable to use their hands, voice or both.
This energetic kid on the autism spectrum takes his communication aid with him wherever he goes. He’s even started teaching his classmates how to use it.
This young woman with cerebral palsy graduated from university with a marketing degree and uses her skills and experience as a disability influencer and advocate.
Dynavox Group creates assistive communication solutions that directly improve the well-being and inclusion in society of hundreds of thousands of people and potentially millions more.
Furthermore, our solutions for the special education classroom also help students with disabilities learn to read and write and provide them with a voice so that they are not excluded from the mainstream education system, whether in the classroom or at home.
Our special education software, Boardmaker, helps millions of students with learning challenges by drawing on our library of over 89,000 Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) for effective communication, inclusive learning, and customized education programs for students with disabilities.
In 2024, we made significant strides in advancing our mission by achieving a 25% increase in the number of comprehensive communication solutions delivered. We also expanded our PCS library by approximately 6,400 new symbols, further enhancing the accessibility and inclusivity of our assistive communication offerings. These milestones reflect our continued commitment to empowering individuals through innovative and impactful solutions.

As a business, Dynavox Group has the opportunity to drive inclusion in society. As an employer, naturally this extends to our own workplace as well.
We have a desire and obligation to contribute to greater equality and representation in our organization, which entails having a diverse workforce in terms of skills, nationality, class, age, gender, disability, culture, family background, ethnicity, sexual orientation and everything else that makes us unique as human beings. We strive to better reflect this diversity among our employees in order to add new perspectives to our business. In this way, we can better understand the varied perspectives of our customers, adapt our solutions and make an even greater difference to people around the world.
As an employer, Dynavox Group also directly impacts our employees’ safety, work environment and development opportunities via our health and safety policies and procedures, and indirectly across our supply chain, through our supplier code of conduct. We also focus on a sustainable work-life balance with a hybrid work-from-home model available to all employees.
Our employees’ satisfaction shows in our latest eSAT score of 78, which translates to 83% of Dynavox Group employees feeling positive about working for the organization.
Our objective by 2025 is to offer and develop a healthy psychosocial work environment and even more positive work climate. In addition, internal mobility, a learning culture and employees that grow together with the company are important focus areas to build a solid organization.
We aim to create an organization that mirrors the markets in which we operate and serves as an exemplary workplace for all employees, also those with disabilities and those who are neurodiverse.
Diversity for us means having a diverse workforce in terms of skills, nationality, class, age, gender, disability, culture, family background, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and everything else that makes us unique as human beings.
At Dynavox Group, we continuously strive to strengthen our diversity. Our workforce already comprises individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds from around the world. Moreover, we maintain a balanced gender ratio and a broad age range across our entire organization.

In addition to our core social mission, environmental and climate responsibility are central to Dynavox Group’s sustainability strategy. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by adopting sustainable practices, optimizing resource use, and operating with integrity.
In 2024, we made meaningful progress by improving the quality of our emissions data and gaining a clearer view of our environmental footprint. We focused on Scope 3 emissions and established a strong baseline to guide long-term reduction efforts. Operational improvements - such as optimizing logistics, shifting from air to ocean freight, and partnering in a certified carbon offset program - led to a significant reduction in transport-related emissions.
We also reduced business travel by consolidating teams in Stockholm and adopting a regional format for corporate events. Our commitment to sustainable sourcing continues to support environmental goals and strengthen supply chain resilience.
Dynavox Group is committed to minimizing environmental impact through responsible resource management across the entire product lifecycle, from sourcing to end-of-life. We prioritize eco-design by reducing energy use in production and product operation. Our durable, modular products are built for easy repair, upgrades, and part replacement to extend their lifespan.
Our customers can return products to our offices in Sweden and the US for responsible disposal. To reduce waste, we repair returned or faulty units and loan them out instead of discarding them. We also improve packaging by using more recycled materials, optimizing design to lower shipping emissions, and replacing cardboard with reusable cases. Printed materials have been replaced with digital guides to cut paper use.
Dynavox Group has strengthened the accuracy and completeness of its emissions data, ensuring full coverage across all operational areas. All emissions calculations have been performed in alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards.

Dynavox Group has implemented a range of policies supporting the ethical conduct of our business. Fulfilling our vision and mission requires ethical conduct in everything we do, at every level of the company.
The Dynavox Group Code of Conduct defines our business ethics principles. It is based on the UN Global Compact, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, EU Market Abuse Regulation, the Nasdaq rule book, and the Swedish Corporate Governance Code.
The Code of Conduct is a framework for key policies, including the Anti-Corruption Policy, Information Policy, and Whistleblower Policy. It also includes the Information Security Policy, Insider Policy, Export Control Policy, and Environmental Policy. These policies help guide ethical decision-making and regulatory compliance across the organization.
To embed these principles into our culture, Code of Conduct training is mandatory in our employee onboarding program. In 2024, we achieved a 73% completion rate, reinforcing our commitment to ethical practices, integrity, and accountability from day one.
Dynavox Group strives to maintain a transparent business climate and high business ethics. For us, it’s obvious to value the safety and respect of everyone affected by our business.
Our external whistleblowing channel serves as an early warning system to mitigate risks. It plays a crucial role in promoting high ethical standards and maintaining customer and public confidence in our organization. The service allows individuals to report serious risks of wrongdoing that impacts people, our organization, society, or the environment. Reports can include information about criminal offenses, irregularities, violations, or other actions that breach EU or national laws within a work-related context.
The Dynavox Group Supplier Code of Conduct is based on the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct, which is an industry standard for companies in the electronics industry, and includes human and labor rights, anti-corruption and the environment and climate. Both our own Code of Conduct and the Supplier Code of Conduct state that all employees should have freedom of association. All new employees complete training in the Code of Business Conduct.
We are committed to protecting personal data through strong security measures and a comprehensive Data Privacy Policy that goes beyond compliance to promote ethical data handling. In 2024, we focused on enhancing transparency, documentation, and adapting to new privacy regulations, with 93% of employees completing privacy training. As we grow through acquisitions, our 2025 priorities include integrating new entities into our privacy program and strengthening our response capabilities for data rights, breaches, and crisis management.
At Dynavox Group, we recognize the critical importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding our operations, data, and stakeholders. To maintain a strong security posture, we have implemented key cybersecurity practices, including regular mandatory training for employees and internal cybersecurity assessments or audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
To ensure a structured approach to incident response, we have an incident management policy and procedures in place to effectively address and resolve cybersecurity threats or breaches. While governance structures for cybersecurity management are partially established, we continue to enhance oversight and strategic alignment to strengthen our cybersecurity framework.
